SERIE A

It is a professional league based in Italy called seria a due to sponsorship reasons Tim. The league began during the 1920-30th season. The league was then splited into two naming them north and south leagues.in 1948-49TH season TORINO were declared winners following a plane crash that killed the entire team.

The league has been changing in which the numbers of teams in the league are playing. In 1929 -1934 18 clubs participated, in 1934 -1943 16 clubs, in 1946 -1947 20 clubs, in 1947 -1948 21clubs, in 1948- 1952 20 clubs, 1952- 1967 18 clubs, 1967- 1988 16 clubs, in 1988- 2004 18 clubs, in 2004 –to date20 clubs are the once participating. This league runs from august to may in which team’s plays twice with each other at home and away a total of 38 games in a season.

Inter Milan is the only team to have participated in every season in seria a with 88 seasons.in the other hand Benevento, carpi, pistoiese, Treviso have competed in only one season each. There are 67 teams that have taken partin serie a championship in a single round that was played from 1929-30TH season until 2019-20TH season.

In the history of Italian league juventus fc is the most successful team.it has won 35 league titles, 13coppa Italia and 8 supercoppa Italia titles.in the international lever it has 2 intercontinental cups, 2european cups. The club has been ranked 2nd in the latest fifa rankings. The club has two rivals Torino which is called the city derby since the come from one town called Turin. The other derby is with inter Milan and is referred to us as Italian derby since they are from different cities.

KENYAN PREMIER LEAGUE

The Kenyan primer league consists of 18 teams which compete on the highest league in Kenya. The 18  are Gor mahia, sofapaka, tusker mathare united, afc leopards, bandari, ulinzi stars, kariobangi sharks, western stima, kakamega homeboys, zoo kericho, poster rangers sony sugar, kcb, nzoia sugar, chemilil sugar wazito, Kisumu all stars

Gor mahia is also known as k’ogalo is a club based in Nairobi. It is the most successful club in the history of kpl winning the league 17 times. They have also won the fkf president 10 times. It was founded in 1968 and was called luo sports club .it is the only team to have won cecafa club cup three times in 1980, 1981, and 1985.

The second most decorated team is afc leopards which are rivals and most popular teams with gor mahia. Afc comes second with 12 cups then followed by tusker with 11, ulinzi with 4, luo union and oserian with 2, nakuru all-stars, utalii, sony sugar, mathare united and sofapaka with 1 each. The other times have never won any kpl trophy

Nzoia united and mt. Kenya united are the only teams in 2018-2019 season to give walk-over. Nzoia gave the walk- over due to misunderstanding of where the match to be played. Mt. Kenya united gave a walk-over to gor mahia due to lack of payments for more than 10 months.

Afc leopards are chasing the signature of Ugandan holding midfielder siraji ssentamu and they have released some players. Bandari on the other hand have signed chetambe to give options in the midfield who joined them from zoo united. Gor mahia secretary general confirmed that he won’t be vai for any seat in the coming elections in gor mahia.

In 2018-2019 season 2 team were relegated from the top flight league namely mt. Kenya and vihiga united. Vihiga managed to gather 26 points from 34 matches while mt. Kenya with 18 points from 34 matches. 2 teams from the national super league were promoted to kpl. The 2 teams are wazito and Kisumu all stars.

The Kenyan premier  league (k.p.l) also known as the SportPesa premier league due to sponsorship reason.it is a Professional league for Men.The league was formed in 1963 under Kenyan football federation.it consists of 18 clubs which operates on promotion and relegation

Gor mahia is the most successful club in the history of k.p.l with 17 titles to their name.A.f.c  leopards are second with 12 league titles to their name.Tusker comes third with 11 titles and Ulinzi with 4 titles .Gor Mahia is the recent club to win the title 3 times in a row

The league has a broadcasting deal with supersport which also provides referee kits and balls.In 2012 the k.p.l signed a deal of 170 million with east African breweries to rename the league to tusker premier league. In 2015 they signed a deal with sportpesa to gain the naming rights

There are 18 clubs in K.p.l which is played between February  to November in a season but it swiched to august to may .the matches are played home and away.Teams receive 3 points for a win,1 point for a draw and 0 points for a loss.The teams are ranked by total points,goal difference and goals scored.

Coaches are involved in the league in their respective clubs .the coaches helps their teams in training ,player selection and team selection.They influence and popularty varies from club to club and is related to the ownership of the club in relationship of the funs

k.p.l is operated and run as a private limited company. It is fully owned and managed by the 18 clubs.it is affiliated to football Kenya association whom are also shareholders and voting member of k.p.l board of directors.
